Custom Altamont

The homeowners had always dreamed of building a custom home, and they finally found the perfect floor plan in the Altamont from AR Homes®. They loved the layout of the home, but they knew they wanted to make some changes to make it their own. One of the first things they did was add an additional bay to the garage to ensure space for three cars. They also decided to remove the upper level of the home and bring the fourth bedroom to the main floor, making it more compact and easier to maintain. Another big change was flipping the plan vertically. On the main floor, the den at the front of the house was transformed into a formal dining area, while the casual dining space was converted into a sitting area. Just off this space, extra porch square footage was used to create a guest room opposite the owner’s suite. On the lower level, they reduced the size by more than 600 square feet, removing the club, game room, and wet bar. Only two bedrooms and bathrooms were left to create a more functional, low-maintenance design. The homeowners are very happy with their custom home, which is perfect for their needs and lifestyle. They love the spacious layout, functional design, and personal touches that make it their own.
